This weekend (1-3 March) The Mountain & Valley Festival is the first of its kind in the UK. Set in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, it combines snow sports, live music and comedy acts over one amazing action-packed weekend.
Whether you prefer your entertainment indoors in the warm or outdoors with added shred, there will be something to suit you. They’ve got some of the best music and comedy acts around, not to mention some of the best terrain for skiing and snowboarding in the country, so get set for some serious fun!
If that wasn’t enough, proceeds from the Festival go to charity so there really is no excuse not to come along and enjoy yourself! This year we’re supporting the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) and Disability Snowsport UK to help them continue their fantastic work.
Organiser Stephen Barbour said: “We are really excited about the music line up performing in the Highlands this winter. We’ve got a fantastic selection of live music and DJ’s, ranging from established stars to some of the best new talent emerging in the UK right now, so whatever your musical taste you’ll find something to suit you.”
“Music events will be happening in venues around Aviemore and even on Cairngorm Mountain! Last year our club nights were all sold out so be sure not to be late or you could be left out in the cold!”
The MV Festival will feature, live bands, live singers, clubnights with top DJ’s and comedy nights, with some of the UK’s top comedians and on the mountain and on the snow, there will be some spot prizes to get you in the party mood and the chance to try skiing or snowboarding for the first time with the Ski School and Onyx Snowboarding.
Add to this some of the best terrain and snow for you to enjoy with your friends and you know you are in for an amazingly fun weekend.
