We are thrilled to announce that Fife’s finest musical monarch, King Creosote will headline the main stage at Doune The Rabbit Hole Festival on Saturday August 25th and his Fence Records cohorts Kid Canaveral will top the bill along with Hidden Orchestra on Sunday August 26th.
Other acts joining us at Duncarron Fort include otherworldly indie experimentalists Pram, anti-folk hero Jeffrey Lewis &The Junkyard and indie-loving stand up comic Josie Long, who will perform on the spoken word stage.
Sunday takes a musically adventurous turn with Edinburgh’s Hidden Orchestra, who blend jazz, hip-hop and classical styles; the colourfully out-there stylings of Orchestra of Spheres; and the first performance of a new collaborative music project called The Brotherhood of The Blue Ship.
All these and many more acts for will play Doune The Rabbit Hole Festival, which takes place at Duncarron Fort, near Kilsyth, on the weekend of August 24-26th 2012.
All this in addition to those acts already announced, including The Phantom Band, Aidan Moffat & Bill Wells, Sparrow & The Workshop, Three Blind Wolves, Withered Hand and JD Twitch (Optimo).
For the full line up visit the festival website, www.dounetherabbithole.co.uk/line-up, and keep an eye on Twitter @dounetherabbit and www.Facebook.com/DouneTheRabbitHole for all the latest news updates.
This year the festival moves to a spectacular new home at Duncarron Fort. Situated in woods in the Carron Valley, near Kilsyth, the site is a recreation of an early medieval motte and bailey fort, a clan chief’s residence built as a living history attraction by the Clanranald Trust.
