Bella fans have a chance to secure themselves ‘a place in the fun’ on Thursday 29th September when tickets for the 2012 event go on sale from 9am.
Tickets for the ninth staging of the festival, which takes place 3rd and 4th August 2012, go on sale at 0900 from http://www.skiddle.com/festivals/belladrum/?sktag=12774 in the form of E-tickets and a limited number of hard tickets via http://www.thebooth.co.uk . First 250 tickets will be held at this year’s price. Thereafter tickets will be £95 each (+ booking fee). Campervan/Caravan tickets and Child 12 & Under tickets will also be available.
Bella has sold out the last three years and in 2011 the festival sold out months before the event so fans are urged to buy early to avoid disappointment. Problems with ticket scammers in the lead-up to the 2011 event has meant that the bulk of 2012 will be sold as e-tickets which are considerably more difficult to scam.
“We will still be issuing some hard tickets for mainly local outlets to sell but these will be very much in the minority this year,” said festival promoter Joe Gibbs. “It’s a shame that we have to concentrate on e-tickets because it limits the number of outlets we can use, but the dishonesty of a few unscrupulous characters has forced our hand. People should avoid buying off social networks, gumtree, ebay etc.”
The 2011 event featured twin Scots rock legends Texas and Deacon Blue plus: Guillemots; Kassidy; Echo & The Bunnymen; Frank Turner; Newton Faulkner; Ed Sheeran; Anna Calvi; Admiral Fallow; Easy Star All Stars; Eli ‘Paeprboy’ Reed; Teddy Thomson ; Little Comets; Dry The River; MC Xander; Young Rebel Set; Roddy Woomble; 3 Daft Monkeys; Roddy Hart & The Lonesome Fire; Emile Sande; Ben Howard; The Amphetameanies; Lucy Rose; Wooden Box With A Fistful Of Fivers; The Dangleberries; The Staves; The Webb Sisters; Rachel Sermanni; CW Stoneking and His Primitive Horn Orchestra; The Xcerts; Skerryvore; Saint Saviour Benjamin Francis Leftwich; James Mackenzie & The Aquascene; Cousti; King Charles; Suzette & The Neon Angels; Findlay Napier; Diddums; Torridon; Iain MacLaughlin & The Outsiders; He Slept On 57; Tom Odell; Scooty & The Skyhooks; Stetsonhead; Hoodja; Bronto Skylift; The Raghu Dixit Project; The Horndog Brass Band and the Rooty MaToot Big Band.
