The MOBO team running this year’s awards in Glasgow on October 5 need a number of volunteer assistants, runners and ushers to support the event.
The ideal applicant must be a confident communicator with a keen eye for detail, reliable, highly organised and be able to handle small projects independently, as well as work harmoniously as part of a wider team. This demanding and challenging role requires you to be hard working, determined and be able to help out wherever necessary, with a real can-do attitude.
Applicants will need to be 18 or older. You will need to be living within the Glasgow area, and be able to make your own way to and from the SECC. You will be expected to arrive at the venue at 9.30am, and be on hand until around 11pm, possibly later. Lunch and dinner will be provided.
Interviews will be conducted on Sunday 2nd and Monday 3rd October at the SECC Glasgow, and candidates are required to bring a valid form of ID with them (passport, provisional or full driving licence). Volunteer assistants, runners and ushers will also need to be available on the afternoon of Tuesday 4th October at the SECC for a staff briefing at the venue.
Please note: This is an unpaid, temporary position, but you will gain some valuable experience in the workings of a large event such as the MOBO Awards.
Interested persons should send their CV to team@mobo.com with the title “MOBO Awards Runners 2011” no later than Wednesday 28 September 2011.
